Plastics Recyc­ling

With the newly estab­lished ​“Plastics Recyc­ling” net­work, we would like to rep­res­ent the entire value chain. Thus, among oth­ers, sup­pli­ers of ​“old plastics” or repro­cessed recyc­lates with vir­gin mater­i­al qual­it­ies, plant man­u­fac­tur­ers, pro­cessors of the recyc­lates into high-qual­ity products, end users of the products and many more shall belong to the net­work. Fur­ther­more, the prop­er­ties of products are to be influ­enced by addit­ives in such a way that upcyc­ling occurs and spe­cial prop­er­ties can be achieved. The net­work shall cov­er mech­an­ic­al as well as chem­ic­al (bio­chem­ic­al, organ­ic) recycling.

With­in the net­work, con­tact oppor­tun­it­ies with com­pan­ies and research insti­tutes are to be pro­moted, which will res­ult in mul­tiple cooper­a­tion oppor­tun­it­ies. Bring­ing togeth­er dif­fer­ent part­ners with com­ple­ment­ary expert­ise and bund­ling their com­pet­ences is one of IBB’s tasks. If mem­bers have spe­cial product wishes, these will be served by the net­work mem­bers and/​or suit­able com­pan­ies will be acquired — also through act­ive part­ner acquis­i­tion on the part of IBB. Exist­ing pro­ject ideas or pro­ject ideas created/​initiated by IBB are for­mu­lated into R&D pro­jects with the sup­port of IBB and, if desired, sub­mit­ted for funding.
