2023 — Smart Mater­i­al Solutions

With the launch of the ZIM-Innov­a­tion­net­work ​“Sus­Mat — Nach­haltige Mater­i­ali­en — Sus­tain­able Mater­i­al”, fun­ded by the Ger­man Fed­er­al Min­istry for Eco­nom­ic Affairs and Cli­mate Action (BMWK), 2023 marked an import­ant mile­stone toward sus­tain­able altern­at­ives to con­ven­tion­al plastics.
The focus lies on innov­at­ive mater­i­als based on renew­able resources and indus­tri­al residues that address eco­lo­gic­al chal­lenges and have the poten­tial to replace fossil-based plastics.
Togeth­er with a strong net­work of part­ners from industry and research, we are work­ing to devel­op and estab­lish future-ori­ented mater­i­als for a more sus­tain­able plastics sector.
