CO2Lubricants

Inten­tion:
CO2Lubricants is the name of a R&D pro­ject with­in the net­work UseCO2 and fun­ded by BMBF. Four com­pan­ies and one aca­dem­ic insti­tute joined forces to use the nox­ious green­house gas car­bon diox­ide as start­ing mater­i­al for a sus­tain­able lub­ric­ant. The car­bon diox­ide derives from industry emis­sions and from the atmo­sphere. For the lubricant’s pro­duc­tion, microal­gae and yeasts are utilized.
