Ligno­flag

Inten­tion:
The main goal of the EU-fun­ded pro­ject LIGNO­FLAG is the con­struc­tion of a unique com­mer­cial plant to pro­duce cel­lu­lose-eth­an­ol derived from agri­cul­tur­al resid­ual mater­i­als based on the innov­at­ive sun­li­quid® tech­no­logy. The new flag­ship will be estab­lished in Podari, south­west­ern Rumania. 

Next to the main goal, the pro­ject fol­lows sev­er­al subgoals: 

• Estab­lish­ing an energy-self-suf­fi­cient, sus­tain­able pro­duc­tion pro­cess for cel­lu­lose-eth­an­ol by using side products to pro­duce renew­able energy and fertilizers
• Optim­iz­a­tion and effi­ciency enhance­ment of the pro­duc­tion pro­cesses up to 60.000 tons eth­an­ol per year
• Determ­in­ing a license mod­el for the sun­li­quid® tech­no­logy and map­ping of rep­lica and growth poten­tials in oth­er Rumani­an and European regions
• Devel­op­ing a mar­ket­ing strategy that com­prises dis­tri­bu­tion and mar­ket­ing actions for cel­lu­lose eth­an­ol and sun­li­quid® technology
