C2C4Oxygenate — Development of a new Downstream Process Chain of Biogenic Raw Materials to C2 and C4-Oxygenates
Intention:
Production of important chemical building blocks from lignocellulosic raw materials. Model substrates with high importance for the chemical industry are the C4 building blocks 2,3‑butanediol, methyl ethyl ketone and the C2 building block acetic acid. Starting products of fermentative production are material and residual material flows of the Sequential Enzymatic Hydrolysis (SEH).
