Fraunhofer-Institute for Chemical Technology ICT
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft promotes and conducts internationally networked application-oriented research for the direct benefit of industry and for the benefit of society. The Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology ICT is one of currently 60 institutes of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
In addition to contract research for industry, Fraunhofer ICT also works together with commercial companies on research tasks that are co-financed by the federal and state governments and the European Union.
On a total area of 200,000 square meters, approximately 12,000 square meters are available for pilot plants, test benches and workshops, and a further 13,000 square meters for laboratories, infrastructure, and offices.
The Fraunhofer ICT currently employs around 500 people. Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Peter Elsner, the total budget in 2011 was around 32 million euros.
