Ase­Bio Green Innov­a­tion Forum

Organ­ized by Ase­Bio, the Span­ish Bioin­dustry Asso­ci­ation, and the City Coun­cil of Sala­manca through Abioin­nova and Sala­manca Tech, the 6^th edi­tion of the Ase­Bio Green Innov­a­tion For­um high­lights the role of bio­tech­no­logy as a key driver in the trans­ition towards a more sus­tain­able, cli­mate-neut­ral and com­pet­it­ive eco­nom­ic model.

The Green Innov­a­tion For­um is closely aligned with the emer­ging bioeconomy sec­tor , pos­i­tion­ing bio­tech­no­logy — par­tic­u­larly food, agri-biotech and indus­tri­al bio­tech­no­logy—as a stra­tegic ena­bler for sus­tain­able growth, food secur­ity and indus­tri­al trans­form­a­tion. The event show­cases Spain’s strong com­mit­ment to sci­ence, innov­a­tion and applied bio­tech­no­logy, con­nect­ing research and innov­a­tion with indus­tri­al sec­tors that gen­er­ate high eco­nom­ic and social impact.

The Ase­Bio Green Innov­a­tion For­um offers a unique oppor­tun­ity to explore how bio­tech­no­logy is already deliv­er­ing solu­tions to major glob­al chal­lenges, from sus­tain­able food sys­tems and resi­li­ent agri­cul­ture to bio-based products, cir­cu­lar pro­cesses and cli­mate adapt­a­tion. It gath­ers industry lead­ers, star­tups, aca­demia, investors and pub­lic insti­tu­tions to foster dia­logue, col­lab­or­a­tion and know­ledge exchange. The rising Agri­foodtech sec­tor is one of the major high­lights of the 2026 with a tast­ing of innov­at­ive products at the end of the programme.

The pro­gramme will fea­ture a cur­ated agenda of con­fer­ences, pan­el dis­cus­sions and busi­ness meet­ings, address­ing the most rel­ev­ant trends and devel­op­ments in green bio­tech­no­logy and the bioeconomy. Dis­cus­sions will focus on medi­um- and long-term chal­lenges such as cli­mate change, sus­tain­able agri-food pro­duc­tion, indus­tri­al decar­bon­isa­tion and the scale-up of bio-based innovations.

Busi­ness devel­op­ment and invest­ment gen­er­a­tion are cent­ral to the For­um. Par­ti­cipants will have access to a ded­ic­ated part­ner­ing plat­form, enabling auto­mated one-to-one meet­ings among attendees, as well as oppor­tun­it­ies to show­case innov­at­ive pro­jects through pitch ses­sions, facil­it­at­ing con­nec­tions between tech­no­logy pro­viders, cor­por­ates and investors.
