Pilot Pflan­zenöl­tech­no­lo­gie Mag­de­burg e.V.

Pilot Pflan­zenöl­tech­no­lo­gie Mag­de­burg e.V. (PPM) is a non-uni­ver­sity, private, indus­tri­al research insti­tu­tion and mem­ber of the ZUSE community.

PPM devel­ops new pro­cesses for the extrac­tion and pro­cessing of lip­ids, pro­teins, fibers and sec­ond­ary meta­bol­ites from plant and anim­al raw mater­i­al sources as well as new products based on them for food and feed as well as the chem­ic­al-tech­nic­al sector.

For this pur­pose, PPM oper­ates a pilot-scale exper­i­ment­al plant at the Mag­de­burg site, which is unique in Ger­many. Cur­rently 20 chem­ists, engin­eers and labor­at­ory tech­ni­cians are employed at PPM.

Pro­ject part­ners and cus­tom­ers are com­pan­ies and research insti­tutes from Ger­many and abroad.
