What are the opportunities and constraints of cascading use of biomass?
11.08.2014
The survey is part of the project “Increasing resource efficiency by cascading use of biomass – from theory to practice“ on behalf of the German Federal Environmental Agency (Umweltbundesamt, UBA) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB). The project aims to identify and elaborate potentials of cascading use of several bio-based raw materials. On the one hand, factors of success and failure are analysed based on practical examples from industry. On the other hand, the ecological preferences of cascading use of biomass are examined in detail. The results will provide new insights and arguments, which will help decision makers to design target-oriented policies and instruments to support cascading use of biomass. You can find more information about the project here: www.biomassekaskaden.de. The online survey aims to evaluate barriers, risks and threats for the cascading use of biomass in the respective business environments of the respondents. Furthermore, the most important success factors and opportunities are searched for. The online survey is anonymous and confidential. Results of the survey will be published in the context of the above-mentioned project. Get involved in the latest bioeconomy research and share your thoughts here: Link to survey.
