Uni­ver­sity of Stut­tgart — Insti­tute of Inter­fa­cial Pro­cess Engin­eer­ing and Plasma Tech­no­logy (IGVP)

The IGVP is ded­ic­ated to the design, func­tion­al­iz­a­tion and char­ac­ter­iz­a­tion of sur­faces of organ­ic, inor­gan­ic and bio­lo­gic­al ori­gin as well as nano‑, bio- and hybrid mater­i­als and their interactions.

Fur­ther focus is the sim­u­la­tion and pro­cess devel­op­ment of inter­fa­cial pro­cesses in mem­brane and biopro­cess engin­eer­ing as well as their chem­ic­al, physi­co­chem­ic­al, bio­chem­ic­al and molecu­lar or cell bio­lo­gic­al fundamentals.

The research activ­it­ies of the insti­tute are rep­res­en­ted in five them­at­ic foci:
