Umweltcluster Bay­ern — Cluster of Envir­on­ment­al Tech­no­lo­gies Bavaria

The Cluster of Envir­on­ment­al Tech­no­lo­gies Bav­aria bundles the Bav­ari­an com­pet­ences in the fields of:

• Drink­ing water and wastewa­ter treatment
• Waste and recycling
• Altern­at­ive energy gen­er­a­tion, espe­cially energy from waste and biomass
• Air pol­lu­tion control
• Resource effi­ciency, mater­i­al flow management

The cluster provides inform­a­tion on tech­no­logy-spe­cif­ic devel­op­ments and cross-cut­ting issues such as innov­a­tion, fin­an­cing and inter­na­tion­al­iz­a­tion through spe­cial­ist events and con­fer­ences. Experts reg­u­larly meet in its work­ing groups on the top­ics of wastewa­ter heat util­iz­a­tion, decent­ral­ized wastewa­ter treat­ment, energy from waste and wood gas­i­fic­a­tion to pro­mote the top­ic in gen­er­al and to devel­op pro­jects. In addi­tion, the team of the Cluster of Envir­on­ment­al Tech­no­lo­gies Bav­aria provides a com­pre­hens­ive range of con­sult­ing and ser­vices, espe­cially on inter­na­tion­al­iz­a­tion and fund­ing con­sult­ing. The cluster cur­rently has 190 mem­bers (as of 08/2013). In addi­tion to the head office in Augs­burg, the cluster main­tains fur­ther offices in Munich, Nurem­berg, Hof and Straubing.
