Kan­naLab

Kan­naLab is an exper­i­ment­al pro­ject of Lampa s.r.o. that star­ted in 2021 with an aim to devel­op truly sus­tain­able nat­ur­al fab­rics made from hemp. The goal is to start with hemp farm­ing to provide a feed­stock for fur­ther exper­i­ment­ing with innov­at­ive pro­cessing and pro­duc­tion tech­niques for devel­op­ment of nat­ur­al fab­rics, as well as util­iz­a­tion of the whole plant for dif­fer­ent uses. Cur­rently we have a farm of around 100 ha, and we will have a first har­vest of 2 ha in Septem­ber 2023. Next step is to look for part­ners that will help us with exper­i­ments regard­ing pro­cessing of this raw mater­i­al. Main exper­i­ments include improv­ing the hemp cul­tiv­a­tion to be more sus­tain­able, pro­cessing the bast fiber for fabric.
