The suc­cess story of the Cel­lu­lose Fibres Con­fer­ence will be con­tin­ued from 13 to 14 March 2024 in Cologne (on-site and online). The unique event presents new poten­tials for cel­lu­lose fibres, espe­cially in the fields of tex­tiles, hygiene products and pack­aging. The increas­ing demand for renew­able fibres meets bio-based and bio­de­grad­able cel­lu­lose fibres as a break­through solu­tion for the future.

The main source for pro­du­cing staple fibres or fil­a­ments such as vis­cose, lyo­cell, mod­al, acet­ate or oth­er types of cel­lu­lose fibres is wood-based chem­ic­al pulp. At the same time, new sources of cel­lu­lose from agri­cul­tur­al waste and fibres, from paper pulp or even recycled tex­tiles are estab­lish­ing them­selves on a glob­al scale. These bring with them a vari­ety of new fibre sources, innov­at­ive com­pan­ies, new tech­no­lo­gies and nov­el pro­cessing meth­ods and ideas.

The Cel­lu­lose Fibres Con­fer­ence 2024 will cov­er the entire value chain from ligno­cel­lu­lose, pulp, cel­lu­lose fibres such as ray­on, vis­cose, mod­al or lyo­cell and new devel­op­ments to a wide range of applic­a­tions: tex­tiles from renew­able fibres, non­wovens such as wet wipes as well as new fields of applic­a­tion, such as com­pos­ites, hygiene products, pack­aging or nano­cel­lu­lose in the food industry.
