Workshop: How a pilot line speeds up the innovation track
22.09.2014
Case study: Fermentative production of biosurfactants and use as nanomaterial or biopolymer
Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant (BBEPP) would kindly like to invite you to attend the mKETs Pilot Lines Demonstrator workshop entitled ‘How a pilot line speeds up the innovation track’. It will be held on 22 September 2014 at Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant (Ghent, Belgium). In the right column you can find the program of the workshop. This workshop will give you the unique opportunity to get to know Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant in an informal way. BBEPP foresees presentations, an in-depth guided visit with a ‘live’ demonstration of a process and insight in the administrative and organizational matters behind a cooperation with BBEPP. The workshop is organized in the framework of the mKETs Pilot Lines Demonstrator project. BBEPP was elected as demonstrator pilot line for the KET (key enabling technology) ‘Industrial Biotechnology’ by the European Commission. The EC thoroughly analysed the BBEPP eco-system and gathered this information in a report. This report will be used by the EC for their future policy decisions regarding the further development of the KET Industrial Biotechnology in Europe. The five major conclusions of the report will be discussed during the workshop. Your contribution to this discussion is most appreciated. A summary of the discussion will be annexed to the report. Please note that participants can apply for (partial) reimbursement of travel expenses.
