The Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe — Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR) in Germany is responsible for the German funding program “Renewable Resources” on the behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). An important focus of the activities supported is to ensure the sustainable supply of biomass resources and their industrial use as well as energy use. Within the scope of our program “Renewable Resources”, we currently give funding to INRO “Initiative sustainable supply of raw materials for the industrial use of biomass” (please see further information on www.inro-biomasse.de/en.htm). The initiative, with a network background of several companies, non-governmental organizations and certification-systems, has held a very successful national conference in October 2013. Encouraged by the results, BMEL, FNR and INRO intend to present the results for a set of sustainability criteria and goals for a voluntary commitment to interested participants from politics, industry and their associations in Europe. Additionally, we aim to expand our network on European level to discuss and advance the results and to establish the initiative. Therefore, the FNR and INRO would like to officially invite you to the conference “Sustainable biomass for industry”
on 3rd of April 2014
