Title of the session: When waste becomes design: How to make more money from a side-streams of sugar beet pulp This session will present a strategy to create more value for side-streams from theagro- and food-industry by leveraging on their rational (functionality), emotional(colour, texture, odour, etc.) and intuitive (perception of the original feedstock)values. Various examples are presented to illustrate this approach, in particular fromthe BBI JU project Pulp2Value. Attention will also be given to the integrationof this approach in biorefinery concepts. A significant part of the session willbe to discuss the Pulp2Value approach from different perspectives with theparticipants. At the end of each workshop, we will welcome you to snacks and drinks in a relaxedatmosphere and look forward to fruitful discussions.Participation is free of charge.
