The partners of the Novosides project have developed biocatalytic processes for the glycosylation of small organic molecules such as flavonoids, alkaloids and steroids. Glycosylation can drastically improve both the physicochemical and biological properties of these molecules (e.g. slow release, better solubility, drug targeting). Cost-effective glycosylation processes have been developed and various glycosides are now available in kilogram amounts. Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant (IBB network member) invites you to the „FP7 Novosides — Glycoside Application Meeting“ on 25th November 2013 in Ghent.
