20. Juni 2019
The European Zero Emission Technology and Innovation Platform (ZEP), the Global CCS Institute (GCCSI) and CO2 Value Europe are joining forces to host a session at the conference and bring carbon capture and storage (CCS) and carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) to the agenda. The event is hosted with the support of IOGP and Energy Technologies Europe. The session “CCS and CCU for a climate neutral Europe” will take place on Thursday 20th June, 16.00 – 17.30CET. The event will host an important discussion on the vital role of CCS and CCU in supporting Europe to deliver the goals of the Paris Agreement and achieving net-zero emissions. Attendees will hear about the potential, value and benefits of CCS and CCU for a number of vital sectors of Europe’s economy; including process industries, energy and transport. The session will also highlight the potential for CCS and CCU to enable the supply of clean hydrogen. At the event, the Port of Antwerp and the Port of Rotterdam will present their respective CCU and CCS activities and the CO2TransPorts project. This project is a candidate Project of Common Interest (PCI) that aims to develop the infrastructure to transport and store up to 10 million tonnes of CO2 per year. The agenda for this session is attached to this invitation and more information can be found on the dedicated session page here. We encourage you to register as soon as possible to ensure your participation. Kindly note that registration is mandatory, as you will be granted security clearance and access to the European Commission’s premises for the duration of the conference. Source: CO2 Value Europe
