The Center for Biotechnology (CeBiTec) of Bielefeld University cordially invites you to attend the 9th CeBiTec Symposium entitled “Molecular Biotechnology” with a special focus on Biotechnology in Paderborn, Münster and Bielefeld. The conference will be held at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (ZiF) of Bielefeld University from April 3rd to 4th, 2014. The symposium will provide recent progress to harness the metabolic potential of microbial as well as plant metabolism for more efficient production processes or for novel products. The field requires a wide array of experimental approaches ranging from the omics technologies and metabolic engineering for synthetic pathways to reaction cascading and optimizing production hosts to achieve superior and sustainable processes. The 9th CeBiTec Symposium focuses on “Molecular Biotechnology” and will promote scientific excellence in enzyme catalysis, white and green biotechnology by providing leading scientists and young researchers with a platform to present their work, to discuss current scientific understanding along with recent developments in key areas of industrial biotechnology, and to identify the priorities for further research.
Speaker
Susanne Fetzner (Molecular Microbiology, Münster)
Karl Friehs (Fermentation Engineering, Bielefeld)
Harald Gröger (Organic Chemistry I, Bielefeld)
Michael Hippler (Plant Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Münster)
Volker Wendisch (Genetics of Prokaryotes, Bielefeld)
The 9th CeBiTec Symposium is jointly organised by CeBiTec, Bielefeld University and the GFT e.V.
