PLA is one of the bioplastics with the largest market significance. The versatile bioplastics raw material is made almost completely from renewable resources. It is being used for packaging applications, for fibres in woven and non-woven applications. Even the automotive industry and consumer electronics are already applying PLA. Blending PLA with other bioplastics or other blend-partners as well as mixing it with natural fibres such as flax, hemp or kenaf broadens the range of applications even more. That‘s why bioplastics MAGAZINE is now organising the 3rdPLA World Congress. Experts from all involved fields will share their knowledge and contribute to a comprehensive overview of today‘s opportunities and challenges and discuss the possibilities, limitations and future prospects of PLA for all kind of applications. The 2 full-day-conference will be held on the 27th and 28th of May 2014 in Munich, Germany. bioplastics MAGAZINE cordially invites all PLA World Congress delegates to a “Bavarian Night” in a famous beerhouse. On Tuesday May 27, 2014 we’ll enjoy Bavarian specialties and rustic live music. You will find more about the programme here. Register here… Source: bioplastics magazine
